Project Title: The functional value of native and exotic trees for wildlife in the LA urban forest
I am a new graduate student in the Wood lab. After three years gaining knowledge and experience in urban planning, shorebird monitoring, ecological restoration, and growing plants in a native plant nursery, I am continuing my passion for ornithology and ecology by learning about avian ecology and conservation at Cal State LA. My project will focus on better understanding the functional role of native and exotic trees in the LA urban forest as habitat for wildlife.
